Is another Space Race about to occur, as Russia has vowed to put a Moonbase on the moon in the near future and America also has plans to put a base there as well, the question is who will get there first

Cant see how the russians will do it unfortunatley

Star City aint what it used to be and I know russia is, or was, under massive financial pressure so I cant see how they could complete at the present time

I don't mean to be a pessimist or sound cynical, but with all these wars and terrorism, will we even be here then

If I'm to be honest with my views and opinions, I'd actually like to see countries stop fighting and start uniting, what's the point in have a different space agencies, and wasting a load of money competing, when united at one we could do so much more.

I'm a big sci-fi fan and love the idea of things like Stargate, Star-trek, etc, I'd love to go into space too, that would be so cool.

Over the last 100 years or so we've increasingly seen sci-fi become more of a reality.

Now I'd hate to see this world competing and fighting, then something simple like a meteor wipe us out, because we were ill prepared.

In a perfect world ehh.

Well Biology dictates that Bush and Brown are normally close together, and as we know Bush normally always gets it's own way, but the question is, does Bush always come on top?

(sorry for the innuendos, but it couldn't be helped. )

On a more serious note, your right Dave, unification of all the great nations more than likely won't happen, at least not in our life times.

The thing about the "space race" if we can still call it that is that it's now just talk and distant promises and as Putin and Bush are both soon to be outgoing premiers their replacements will hopefully have a little more sense and invest the stupid amounts of money wasted on tackling real issues like russian poverty and american financial collapse.

It's ok i'm now off my soap box
